When it comes to video, the Communications & Marketing Directors started the live Tuesday show about a month before I started at the city. When I started, we branded the show and added to it. The city only had a handful of videos overall, so it was a blank slate for me to come in and create fun projects. I created logo animation videos, introduction videos for the live weekly show and more. I have a small sampling of the variety of videos I created during my time at the city. They are everything from Special Addresses from the Mayor, training highlights, logo animation, special projects, a glimpse into the movie filmed in town, Twelve Mighty Orphans, updates to services and more!
Website Redesign Launch
When I finished the redesign of the tourism website I created this ad to promote the launch. When though the launch was pushed back because of COVID, this video still premiered before we launched the new design to help promote the brand.
Logo Reveal Videos
I created quite a few logo reveal videos to be featured at the beginning and end of other videos for projects. I also featured them on the city’s PEG (Public Education) cable channels.
COVID reach out videos
COVID caused everyone to have to pivot, but especially changed my communications & marketing plans. We created Mayors Address videos, mask reminders, updates on new ways to pay utility bills and even a few videos for the county to promote staying healthy and safe.
National Night Out 2020
With COVID going strong many communities decided to cancel National Night Out (NNO). I worked with our Community Services officers to scheduled time with Weatherford Police Department, Weatherford Fire Department and LifeCare EMS. Instead of creating scripts I had the first responders tell us their name, the department they are with, something they love about their job and a safety/prevention tip. Once all was said and done I had 33 videos complete in time to post throughout the night of our event. Check out some of those videos below!
